3 Things To Do With Your Loved One's Cremains

If you have chosen for your loved one to be cremated after their death, then you might wonder what you can do with their cremains when you get them back. There are a number of things that you can do with them, and you might decide to go with just one of them. Depending on how many people would like to have some of the cremains, you might choose one particular option over another. So, what are some of your options?

Urn

One thing that you can do is to put your loved one's cremains in a beautiful urn or box. An urn or box like this would be a good way for you to display your loved one's cremains in your home. There are all kinds of styles of urns and boxes out there, which means you should have no problem finding one that will suit you and your house and will be a suitable memorial for your loved one. You can also choose to get smaller urns so that you and several other family members or loved ones can all have some of the ashes at their home.

Jewelry

There are companies that will take the cremains of your loved one and turn it into mourning or memorial jewelry. They can turn it into semi-precious stones that can be worn or shared out among friends and family members. There are also lockets that you can buy that will have small containers for part of the ashes to go into. You may be able to send the ashes to a company so that they can seal the ashes into the locket so that you don't have to worry about anything accidentally falling out of the locket.

Space

Another thing that you can do with your loved one's remains, if they like space, is to send their remains off into space. Companies that offer this service will contract with a company that has rockets, and as they get enough cremains to be shot off into space, they will send the rocket off into space, where the cremains will be left in orbit.

If you have a loved one who has died and has been cremated, you have a large selection of things to do with their cremains when you get them back from the crematory. You may also decide what you want to have before you die so that your loved one doesn't have to figure out what to do with your cremains.
